Go Daddy Review : godaddy.com
Overview:
GoDaddy was founded in 1997 and was an instant success largely due to their famous super bowl commercials and high profile company mascots. GoDaddy offers both hosting and domain name registration at a low cost. 11 years on and GoDaddy now has the highest number of domain registrations in the world and their hosting customers aren't to far behind either.
Features:
All GoDaddy accounts include instant setup like Just Host, Google Webmaster Tools, free Adword credits and more. Their hosting services are designed to cater for everyone from personal users with low requirements to high end users needing huge amounts of disk space and bandwidth to run their websites and businesses.
Summary:
GoDaddy have good support and reasonable pricing however you may want to shop around first as GoDaddy's control panel isn't the easiest to use. Either way they must be doing something right being one of the biggest hosting companies in the US. Read The Rest Of This Review

Looking elsewhere...

From day 1 of using GoDaddy for both registration and hosting, have had regular issues - from email access and sending issues, to the ftp being flakey. Sometimes logging in to manage my account, the password doesn't work (been stored on computer in password keychain, so know it is correct). When this would creep up (ever few months), I would go through the password reset function. Then I would enter in the former password as the new one - and it again would work.... for a few months. Then have to do it again. No help at all from tech support. Trying to do a site upload this evening - and 2 hours later, still haven't been able to log in via ftp. Just went through the password reset dance again - and can log in to the godaddy site and my account.
I am looking for a new host. This is getting very old.
Oh - and did I mention prices going up without notice?
Not like it used to be

we used godaddy a year ago and after our year...canceled until Jan. 09. The changes they have made has made the site very complicated to use. The font can only be enlarged to a 6. That is really pretty small for a title. To enlarge it you have to go to word...make your title the size you want it...save it to documents...go to paint to change it to a Jpeg file....ughhhhhhhhhh... the first time i used godaddy...we had a great site...everyone asked how i did it....that was then....this is now....i canceled with godaddy after 3 days. now im looking for another host....anyone have any suggestions?
Disappointed

Over a year ago I tried go daddy for hosting. The issues I had then ranged from not being able to upload my website to the techs not even knowing how to get me directions on how to upload the website because there were none. They were even confused and couldn't help me. I went to a different host. Recently I thought I would give them another whirl and am seriously let down again. For all the sponsorship and advertisements they do, I thought they must be better this year...not so. I haven't been able to try out any of the extras they offer because I can't even upload my website. I have now been waiting a week and my website still won't upload, the password wont' work, the customer service keeps telling me it will take 24-48 hours to fix each time I call, and it is never fixed. I am sad to say that the Easiest things to do with them is find a domain name and cancel my hosting account. The customer service, however, has improved and are very helpful, as much as they can be with go daddy's issues.
Never Again, Go Away Daddy

Site is slow, site builder constantly has hicups and freeze for a long time, offer very limited space for the price other competitors would give unlimited, and if you go over the limit, they'll send you warning emails every day even if you reduced the usage (because they only reset once a month at the billing cycle - which means if you go over the limit on the first day of billing cycle, you'd receive GoDdy daily warning emials for the rest of the month), site builder can't handle foreign languages, customer service is pretty much useless, you ask for refund - they'll forget to process it for you, or tell you this and that are not refundable.
I was with GoDaddy for over 3 years but got fed up and moved on to other host. So glad I did.
