HostGator Review : hostgator.com
Overview:
HostGator web hosting were first formed back in 2002 by owner Brent Oxley whilst he was still at university. HostGator grew very rapidly from a small hosting company into a large one very quickly without the usual teething problems.
Features:
Hostgator shared hosting offer unlimited disk space and bandwidth and come with free setup. Although you do have to pay $15 for your domain name, which not many hosts still charge for. No fantastic which is a slight disappointment as this includes all the easy 1 click software installs of wordpress, joomla etc. Unlike some most of the other major shared web hosting companies HostGator diversed into dedicated and reseller hosting also.
Summary:
A good solid web hosting company in our opinion but they do have lots of mixed views on their reliability. No free domain and no fantastico suite is a little disappointing. Read The Rest Of This Review

Host Gator have been hosting websites for my clients for some time, I used to do this within my own Host Gator account adding clients in as additional domains. This meant however that clients didn't receive individual access to a cpanel account since doing so would give them access to all my other clients websites.
I then stumbled accross this reseller hosting, as I total novice I signed up and learnt the basics. Now I can host my clients websites giving them complete control over their own website, this also makes it much more profitable since I can charge them more for a higher level of service.

I just setup my account several days ago and I have to say, Host Gator was pretty quick at implementing everything. The support staff was on board 24/7 and I rarely had to wait very long for my questions to be answered. I'm still working on creating my site but overall, the results have been pretty good because of their site builder. It's been a breeze so far.

I can say that HostGator has had the best uptime. Opening an account with HostGator 3 months, I have never experienced any issues with their service. Their support staff is very helpful and well and informed as well. Hostgator has been a pleasure to work with and I look forward to working with them even longer.

I am pretty happy with HostGator. It sometimes takes them a while to get back to me with their response to an issue of mine. But once they get back to me, its a great answer and almost always solves my problems. The options in the control panel and php are pretty good and I get my emails with no problem. So far, so good and think it will be this way for awhile.
